Bad Influence.....

It's Spring Break, I took a few days off, then Mark and the boys decide to head to Christmas Valley to shot sage rats (That is one trip I DON'T go on). I end up with a 3 day weekend all by my lonesome.

I am sitting here innocently on Friday AM watching tv, under my blankie, in the recliner and I get a text from Angela. "Do you want to go to Goodwill?" I say sure, but my only agenda was to get a pedicure, she is like "OK, I will pick you up at 11:30." I should have know I was in trouble when she asks me if I have to be home at a certain time. Ummm, no, there is no one here!!

We head to Albany for our pedicures, and man did they feel nice. While we are sitting there she mentions we should go to Maurice's and look at Silvers, they are having a buy one get one 1/2 off sale. I am like, sure, I feel pretty safe that nothing will fit and I won't be tempted (HAHAHAHAH - remember that statement!).

We get done with our peddies and we don't wnat to mess up our toes so we walk to down to Ross. We browsed, I bought a skirt, she bought a pair of leggings. All good, we head back towards Maurice's. As we pass Coachhouse, there is a clearance table she wnats to look at. UH-OH!!! There is a Miche purse display, ok no biggie, right?! HOLY CAMO, they had THE cutest camo shell there.....I looked at it, I touched and I knew I was in trouble as soon as I picked it up, had to have it!! so I bought it, cute huh... and Angela did not buy anything.....

We leave there and head to Maurice's, Ok, I will try on some pants, but don't really need any capri's. We gather up some jeans and head to the dressing room. Well, let me tell ya, I was not going to buy ANY!! especially capri's but she had me try on some she had taken in, and they fit!! (Another size smaller YEAH!!) I ended up buying a pair of jeans and a pair of capri's. Happy Birthday to me, Thanks Mark!! Plus they were buy one get one 1/2 off, how could I pass that up?? On a side note here, I sent Missy the pic of the jeans for her approval and she texted back, "Are you at Maurice's trying on Silver's?" She recognized the freaking dressing room!!!!

So, we leave there, head to target, don't think we bought anything there and then finally head to Goodwill (we are broke now! LOL). We both bought a few things, here is one of the shirts I bought,
I think this will look really cute with my black pencil skirt and black sling back heels.

By this time, we are pretty much out of time and out of money, make a quick stop and KMart and then head back to Lebanon. It was actually a very fun, nice, relaxing day and I will say I blame Angela, it's all her fault, but hey, buy one get one 1/2 off and a size smaller, how can a girl pass that up?!! :D

Oink, Oink.....

To Market, To Market ok or we hope To Auction, To Auction.......

It is time to start thinking about the fair. On Thursday Gunner and I went and picked up his piggy. We did not get it from the same person this year, we wnated to make sure we got one born early enough that it would not have a problem making weight (like last year). We had been out a couple times and looked at the piggies after they were born and Gunner had it narrowed down to about 3. We loaded up the dog kennel in the back of the Expedition and off we went. After watching them for about 15 minutes, he finally made a decision, here is our newest addition (no name yet)
We loaded him up in the dog kennel and headed to the land lab. Well, if you don't know, pigs stink and so we had to roll down all the windows. About 1/2 there, OH MY GOSH! there was a terrible stench, the damn thing had pooped (yes, luckily it was in the kennel.) He rode surprisingly well and did not squeal really at all on the ride. But boy when we go to the land lab and Gunner was getting him out, he squealed (There is some truth to the saying "Squealed like a stuck pig!" man are they loud). Got him in the land lab, he was making friends,
Gunner weighed him (45 lbs) and put him in a pen. Now we just have to watch him grow and get fat and then hopefully make weight at fair so he can be auctioned.

P.A. Gunner has his staples removed from his leg and it is healing nicely, he will have a scar, but it will just go along with the other one's he already has :D

Baseball, Baseball and more Baseball..

I just love spring in oregon (NOT!!), baseball season has officially started, well atleast on the calender.
Gunner has been practicing since the end of February and so far everything has been rained out except their doubleheader yesterday (Won both games). Unfortunately I did not take a camera so dont have any pictures, but don't worry there is alot of season left. We did have an episode last week, I get a phone call at work about 4:45, "Mom, can you come get me,I got cleated (metal cleats) and the trainer says I need stitches" So I pick him up and off to urgent care we go. I have my own thoughts about that place, but well, I will refrain. They finally take us back and I get my first look at the "injury".
The nurse promptly told us that urgent care could not do it, had to go to ER, GREAT!!!!! We finally get called back, they clean it up, give him some shots and then proceed to put in 10 staples OUCH!!!!

After 2 1/2 hours sitting there, I am thinking it is way too early in the season for this (Last year we had Drake in ER for stitches by his eye, sorta baseball related).

A few days before Drake has baseball tryouts. it was pouring down rain pretty much all day. I am not sure how those kids did it, but they survived. For Drake's age there were 35 kids trying for the 12 spots on the Senior Federal team. Luckily all but 2 of his team from lsat year made it (the 2 that didn't, are too young).
The players were scored by the high school varsity coaches and players. I won't say where he ended up score wise, but he I will say he was in the top 5 (out of 35). Pretty proud of him, and again, season just starting so no pics yet.

Yesterday was so nice (ok compared to what we have been seeing), I caught (HEHEHEH pun intended?) the baseball bug and sitting on the bleachers for Gunner's double header was not enough. I got the wonderful idea we needed to go to the Beaver game. It sound good last night when the sun was kinda sorta out. Well it started to sprinkle as we left home, but I still had faith.
We got there and things weren't too bad until end of 3rd inning, started raining. After 4 innings, which it was tied 2-2, out came the tarps and a 30 minute rain delay. We were already wet,so we just sat there and took some pictures. (me and the boys)
Then they decided to wait another 20 minutes. ARRrggghhhh REALLY
FINALLY, they pulled the tarps and the game was back on. It sprinkled a little, but the Beavs pulled it out and won 4-2. I was freezing by the time it was done. I would like to see another game, but there better be no chance of rain in thee forcast!!!!

So baseball is upon us, will post pics, etc as I can. Between now and middle of July, if you are looking for the Harrison's we are probably at the baseball field!

Happy Birthday Drake

My little chunky monkey baby is getting all grown up!! (I love this picture!)
Happy Birthday 13th Drake, you are now a teenager and I am sure you will be giving me lots of gray hairs in the years to come!!!

Did not do much, went to Old Navy and got him some new duds, then went to lunch at Roadhouse, then stopped at Coldstone for Birthday Ice Cream.......
Of course now he has abandoned us and went to a buddies house for the night. Pretty typical!! Hopefully it was a good Birthday, love ya buddy!

Obsession

I honestly don't know how or where or why it started, but I have a problem. Some days it is a more serious problem than others, some times I just can't help myself. They are sooo pretty and some times they are shiny and some times they are soft to the touch. Some are spiky and high, some are chunky, some are sling back, some are just basic, everyday. I just walk up and down and look and touch and drool and I WANT THEM ALL!!!!

Ok, I have a shoe fetish, obsession, illness, sickness, whatever you make call it. and at this point in time, NO, I don't need or want an intervention or need counseling!!

Earlier this week I found myself on Jury Duty. Well, I had some time to kill so I found myself at Kohl's and ended up walking out with 2 new pairs:

The other intersting tidbit, side effect or whatever you want to call it. As I am now buying shoes (I think I have previous mentioned I have bought more in the last year than in the previous 10 years combined) the heels keep getting higher and higher.

Not sure how that fits in the obsession, but as some who are near and dear to me and know my goal, the last 2 pair are 4 1/2 inch heels, that is only 1 1/2 inches away from the 6 inch __________ heels I am aiming for LOL.

SOOOOO, anytime, anyone wants to go with to feed the addiction, just call or text or whatever and tell me the time and the place, I will be there. Although it is getting harder and harder to hide the damn shoes boxes LOL j/k!!!! (he buys fishing/hunting stuff I buy wonderful, fabulous, sexy, pretty, shiny shoes. There are worse things to be addicted to, right?!!!!)

Girls Weekend In Arizona....

I want to start by thanking my Aunt Sherri for her hospitality and it was nice to see everyone and spend time with each and everyone that was down there!!
It kinda started as a comment in passing in a conversation. When Sherri mentioned she was going down for a month I mentioned, I wanted to go because I had not been in forever. Next thing I know I am getting a text from Angela, she found reasonably cheap tickets and BAM we were going to Arizona.....

We left Oregon on a cold, foggy morning out of Eugene, arrived in Yuma in the sunshine. Had no problems witn our flights, everything went rather smooth (Damn some of those planes are small!). Waiting at the airport to be picked up and saw 2 fighter jets fly over, it was awesome, the boys would have loved it. Oh Yeah, this WAS a girl's weekend, so the hubby and chiclets were home, alone, without me :D
Had visitors from when we got there until time for bed, but it was really nice to sit back, relax, chat and drink.
We did manage to go to the flea market, got our walks in most mornings, took a nap one afternoon, went to Mexico, played cards, went to the casino and went shopping. I do have to say, walking the park in the morning was very peaceful. We also decided to go to the gym one night, at 10:15 PM, yes, I said PM!!! We got our exercise in and THEN (I was with a couple of Parkers hehehe) we still needed to go to WalMart so after leaving the gym all hot and sweaty we head to WalMart. I can honestly say I have never been to that store at that time of night, we left at 1:00...in the morning......that is sleeping time!! :D

Mom came and joined us on Friday, stayed Friday night and then headed back on Sat. While she was there, we went to Mexico for the day. What a good time we had. We walked around for a bit and looked at all the stuff for sale. Stopped and had shrimp tacos from a street type vendor, they were very tasty. Finally caught up with the rest of the gang at Paraiso. We spent the afternoon chillin and relaxing, (see the dead soldiers on the table!). Mom and Sherri had a manicure. It must have been good to end up with a $200.00 tab (Thank You Again, Raymond, Jerry and Gale!!) But finally it was time to head back across the border.


We did stop at the casino and spent a couple of hours, I think I basically broke even.

Sadly, we did only have about an hour and 1/2 by the pool on Saturday afternoon (I think we both took a nap again). We had planned on sitting by the pool on Sunday, but it was overcast and windy, so we went and had fish tacos at a street stand and went shopping.

Monday I had to leave to go home (my family was missing me) and I came home alone, Angela did't leave until Wednesday, brat!! Had a little trouble getting my suitcase closed and had to leave a bottle of booze in Arizona (it was the cream tequila too damn it!) and had to have Sherri and Angela wait at the curb when I checked in, in case I had to take something out of my suitcase. Fortunately it weighed 48 lbs, wheewwww just made it!

Had good flights home, everything was on time, no problems. Had such a wonderful time and can't wait to go back. Next yeat though it will be a full week and I am going to practice my card games so I can stay out of the asshole chair :D I am sure I am forgetting something, but it was a good trip.

It's Coming, It's Coming....

Now all I have to do is wait for the Big Brown Truck (UPS - I feel like I spend 1/2 my time waiting for the big brown truck)to show up.
I have so, so, soooooooo been wanting/coveting/desiring/dreaming/drooling/needing (?) an iPhone, but never wanted to change from Verizon to AT&T. Imagine my happiness when Verizon announced they were going to get iPhones (AND it was, luckily, right around the time my contract renews, YIPPEE for me!!). Well being the procrastinator that I am, I did not get online and do the preorder thing, so I had to wait, like everyone, until they were available to the general public. Well, I did finally order one, FINALLY!!! And it looks like it has shipped (YIPPEE for me AGAIN!!). I know this is totally not necessary and I know not everyone is going to understand my fascination, desire, want (and it is truly, 100/1,000,000% a want!!) but I just had to have one. (Don’t remind that I already have a cell phone and an ipod and a netbook!!! I know this!) I did really need a new phone, my current one only works on speaker, I just probably didn’t need an iPhone. BUT it has been ordered, it has been shipped and soon it will be delivered and I will be a very happy camper!! I’m worth it, Trust Me!!!!
