~Forty - Forty and other things

Where does the time go!! I can not believe I am 40 now. I am not really hung up on age, to me it is just a number and I really don't feel 40. But I just marvel sometimes at how fast the time goes. I think it makes me feel older to think my kids are 13 & 11 or to realize that I will be married 20 years this year (that one still gets me!) or I have been out of school for 22 years. It was a pretty low key birthday, went to lunch with Mark and the kids, that was about it. I did do a little sewing in the afternoon and then went for a walk so I could come home and eat cake and ice cream YUMMY!! Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes and presents. It is nice to be remembered and thought of. No big plans for a celebration, I am holding out for a celebration (ie vacation) for our anniversary. I have visions of sandy beachs, sunshine, cabana boys and cocktails. Did I mention my anniversary is in December when it is cold and rainy here :D.......

On another note, we are starting baseball practices, kinda officially, this week. Drake has practice every night, Gunner has 2nd round of try outs (?) on Wednesday and then will start regular practices. I keep wanting to plan some camping trips and stuff, but it is really hard until we have a tournament schedule......

I do get to go riding in about 2 weeks, the boys are going to Christmas Valley to shoot sage rates and I am going to go riding. Can't wait, have not been on the 4-wheeler in about 2 years!! Hope it still runs!!

Finally, (ok I should post more often so I am not as long winded....oh wait, that wouldn't stop me!!) for those who are interested (and if your not interested, then quit reading HAHA) Work is going well. I am still trying to get my footing and figure out my way and get back into a routine/flow of things, this being month end has been a crash course. The other escrow officer will be gone for about 4 more weeks, not sure what will happen when she gets back, but let me tell you, it is SOOOO nice to be appreciated and told you are appreciated, it makes a huge difference!

Well that is all for now, I will probably post more as baseball starts. I do have some pictures to post, but I will save them for another day.

Camping.....Why is it, you always can't wait to go, but it just seems like so much work sometimes. I don't know how many times we have gone, but each time, why does it seem like there is so much to do and we feel we need to take so much. I always thought that having a trailer would make things easier, because you could leave so much already packed, well not soo!!! I have been writing list after list of everything we need to remember to pack and buy and load. Of course, things would be much easier if we didn't feel the need to take everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink!!! I mean, the pop up, the chairs, the cook stove, the bbq (did I mention we have a trailer!?) After 12 years, why don't I have pillows and towels that stay in there? Of course it would be easier also if my fridge hadn't died, I have to pack all my food in ice chests!!


BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, I may sound like I am whining/sniveling/bitching/moaning, but the bottom line.............I GET TO GO CAMPING......NENER NENER!! I don't care if it rains, snows, sun, whatever!! I will be sitting in a chair, in front of the fire, with a book and a cold beer!! Jealous yet!! Ok, off to finish loading the house in the trailer (and we are only going for the weekend sheeshh!)

The blonde cop asked to see the blonde driver's license. She dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated.

"What does it look like?' she finally asked.

The policewoman replied, "It's square and it has your picture on it."

The driver finally found a square mirror in her purse, looked at it and handed it to the policewoman. "Here it is," she said.

The blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying, "OK, you can go. I didn't realize you were a cop."

I figured this was the best way to get your attention (it was too long to text). I think I need some >GASP<, product!! You had used that Paul Mitchell something something that you rubbed in my hair, I think I need that. I am starting to get fly away hair and that will help, correct? Also, I had atleast once a day, a couple days, several times a day, compliments on my hair. People who had not seen me really like it shorter and straight. I had the lady at the coffee shop (yes I got a mocha!) comment on the color.......So, I guess it will be straight awhile. As soon as I am no longer poor (like a full paycheck), I think I need a better flat iron too, not sure mine is getting hot enough.

Also, did you see my email the other day, do you still have the pattern for those bags/totes we made in class that time? I have 2 pages, but not the page that tells you how to put them together. I want to make a bag for baseball season......

Finally, Tell your teenage daughter Happy Early Birthday, can't believe she is 14. One more year and she will be driving (a car, not you crazy!!HEHEHE) I wish I had a really embarrasing picture to post (did she ever post the pics on her myspace you were telling me about, if so, I wanna see), but I don't (I think I will go steal a pic off your blog, be right back)

I know have not been blogging and I haven't for personal reasons. Not sure how much I am going to post from here forward, but it will probably pick up again once baseball starts.
