Feeling Nostalgic.....

I guess seeing the boys together this weekend and seeing how grown up they are made me feel a little nostalgic (that and a crappy day at work). So, I thought I would take a little trip down memory lane...........

Sports Update

Wow, what a long day!! Started with a baseball game at 9:00 A.M. (yes A.M.!) in Oregon City. Won that game 6-3, should have been 6-1, but that is how the ball bounces. Not really any highlights, Gunner tagged a runner out in a "pickle", but no big hits or other big plays (for the boys).

Raced home for the football game at 4:00 @ Seven Oaks...Missy & Tyler came, as did Grandma Harrison. It was kinda warm sitting in the sun, worked on my suntan a little bit!! We won 13-6, Drake's offense scored a touchdown on the opening play, good way to start the game!! Drake is actually starting to get in there and tackle people!

One More Thing....

I was looking back over the last several posts, and it has been all about Drake!! So, just thought I would post a pic of Gunner so he doesn't feel left out. He spent the day with Mark working on the duck blind getting ready for opening morning. He is pretty darn excited he gets to hunt this year!!!! They don't get to go to Summer Lake for opening weekend, too much going on with baseball and football, but they can atleast hunt around here.

Today, Drake and I went bowling with Tyler and his friends for his birthday. The boys all seemed to have fun, and Drake enjoyed bowling. He thought it was kinda nice to do something that you didn't have to worry about winning!! Here's Tyler and Drake together, can't believe (again), how grown up they look!!

A GREAT BIG Happy Birthday to Tyler............I can't believe how big you are getting!! Your mom needs to let me know when you have your games, the boys would like to come see a game.

What a bad blogger I am.........

Well, I need to post the good with the bad, so Drakes team lost their game yesteray 7-12, it was a close game and it was a tough team we played. Drake's offense scored the one touchdown YEAH!! Gunner's baseball game was rained out in the 3rd inning, score was 0-0, I am sure glad that I didn't have to drive up there for that!! and really no highlights to report from that.

Drake's football game is @ 4:00 P.M. @ Seven Oaks this Sunday, if it changes, I will post the change. We also have a baseball game @ 9:00 A.M. in Oregon City if anyone wants to come.....

Can't believe today is the 1st day of Fall. It sure felt like it this morning. I know I will regret saying this, but it was kinda nice to see the rain yesterday and this morning. I am definitely not ready for winter yet though (Probably should think about getting some wood delivered!). The rain and cool makes me want to do some scrapbooking (MISSY!!) and work on some quilts. (MOM, I dug out several tops that are ready to be tyed! I have the backing and batting for a couple. Let me know when you want to do them HEHEHE) and Angela, one of these days, I (or mom) will actually ty the other pink and brown one for Emma!!

Not much else going on, but I was told to update my blog, so here it is. Not sure who all is reading, but it would be nice if you left comments once in awhile so I know you are out there!!

Football Schedule Change....

The games this coming weekend has been changed to Sunday, the 21st @ 4:00 P.M. at North Albany Middle School. I believe there have been/will be some other changes, will post when I know them.......

Good Day......

Well, it was all sports today, but it was a good day. Started with a baseball game at 10:00 in Oregon City, top of 3rd down 0-5, ended up coming back and winning 11-5. Don't have any pictures and the only real highlight was Gunner tagging a runner out at 2nd.

Then had to hurry home for the 1st football game of the season at 4:00 at Seven Oaks, here was the score........

We were the home team, YEAH!!! Drake is on 2nd offense and he is the Quarterback (he is #87), here is the 1st snap he took in the game....

His offense scored 2 of the three touchdowns and had another one called back....It was a good game. Here is a couple more pictures from the game. (I believe we played one of the South Albany teams today).

Next football game is Saturday (NOT SUNDAY) @ 4:00 P.M. @ North Albany Middle School.

Wish I was here........

AHHHHH, what I would give to be sitting on a beach, with a cold drink and have this as my view.

A little of this, a little of that....

Well, everyone survived the 1st week of school, mostly.

Here are some pictures from the week....

Mark and Gunner went out and did a little early season goose and dove hunting, this was the goose Mark shot. It was a big one!














and finally, Saturday was the punt, pass and kick (and pictures) for pop warner. Thank you to everyone who pledged money. Drake ended up taking 3rd place in the kick division for the Junior PeeWee (there are 9 teams in JPW). That was very exciting since this is his first year playing football. He looks cute in his uniform.



We are off to a baseball game this evening and Drake has his 1st football game next Sunday (14th) @ 4:00 P.M. at Seven Oaks Middle School.

When did they grow up......

How do they grow up so fast. This is not Drake's "official" uniform, but he decided to "channel" Joey Harrington for practice. He looked so cute, had to take a picture!!

1st day of school....

Where or where did the summer go. I can't believe it is the 1st day of school and I now have a 8th grader and a 5th grader! The first day was uneventful for both of them, they both said they would go back tomorrow (that's a good thing!) and they have no homework. Will have to post pictures later.....

Had a great weekend at the coast, it did rain some on Sunday, but little showers here and there, then the sun would come out, otherwise it was pleasant. Phil and LeeAnn where there, LeeAnn had to leave Sunday, but Phil stayed until Monday. Mark, Phil and the boys fished off the jetty and caught some sea bass. They all had a ball!! I stayed at camp and watched the fire and read a book. What a nice relaxing weekend!!

I will have to post some pictures later and as soon as I know a football schedule, I will post that as well. As far as I know, this weekend we only have a baseball game at 6:00 P.M. Sunday in West Linn..........
