Boys are gone....

They left this morning about 9:00 A.M. for their big adventure. They were going to drive straight thru to Salt Lake City today and spend 2-3 days there, (at 3:00 P.M. they were just leaving Pendelton!). Then going to go see Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore and anything else between here and Missouri.

Whatever will I do with myself, it sure is quiet around here!

Chocolate Martini......don't these sound good!

Chocolate Martini
There are many ways to make a chocolate martini. You can pick your favorite spirit such as light rum, vodka or brandy as a base spirit to mix with a chocolate liqueur. If you're looking for a fruity taste, pick a flavored vodka or rum such as citrus or raspberry. For a sweeter taste, use vanilla flavored vodka or rum. To garnish, coat a rim of martini glass or a swirl a chocolate syrup in a glass. Avoid putting the chunk of chocolate that sits at the bottom of the glass so that you won't choke on it.

Ingredients:
- 2 oz base spirit (vodka, light rum or brandy)
- 1/2 oz chocolate liqueur
- 1/2 oz white creme de cacao
- Chocolate syrup to coat rim of martini glass

Coat rim of martini glass with chocolate syrup. Mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a martini glass.

Ok, since baseball is over and I don't really have anything to say, here is an inspiring thought for the day......

Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine, into your brain, and that is where shitty ideas come from!!!!!

Baseball is over.......

Baseball is over, wow, what an incredible season. We won our first game on Thursday 15-1, then lost Thursday night 8-9 (extra innings) in a well played, well fought game.

Played again Friday morning, won 11-9, and then played again Friday evening, lost 7-11, the score really doesn't show how well played the game was. The whole team played awesome, they had a great season, we ended up in the top 8. Not too bad for a team from little ol' Lebanon.

SOOOO, the boys are getting ready to leave for their big adventure, roadtrip to Missouri (will be gone about 3 weeks) and then it looks like Drake might be playing football (mom is still thinking about).......

Midget baseball team makes state

Lebanon's Midget American traveling baseball team advanced to the state playoffs after a victory over Mt. Hood on Monday night.

Playing against the No. 2 seeded team from the Tri-County league, Lebanon needed a win to keep the season alive. The 8-6 win fulfilled their playoff dream.

With the win, Lebanon improved to 11-3 on the season.

Members of the team are: Marcus Frazier, Drake Harrison, Dylan Williams, Walker Miller, Ryan Restau, Reuben Ernst, Isaac Garber, Cody Johnson, Ty Hogan, Brandon Lyon, Ty Hargis, Khalob Christiansen and Brandon Chapman.

It is the first time in the state playoffs for this group of players.

The team is coached by Jason Williams, with assistants Glenn Walters and Eric Frazier.

“Special mention should go to all the parents for the hectic schedules that this level of a team requires,” Williams said. He also thanked the team's sponsor, Ram Trucking, and the Boys & Girls Club of Lebanon. “Without any of their support our team wouldn't have been as successful,” he said.

Lebanon's first playoff game is at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday in Portland.

WE'RE GOING TO STATE!!!!

Holy Cow!!!! Drake's team won, we are going to the State Tournament in Portland this weekend!!!!! They play their first game at 1:15 P.M. on Thursday, in Portland. It is a double elimination, so they will play, potentially, thru the weekend. I am soo proud of Drake and his team. They played an awesome game tonight!!!!

Baseball over, say it isn't so!!

Ok, almost over. Gunner's team made it to the playoffs (game was Wed. night), and lost in the 1st round, so they are done. They had a pretty good season over all, won more than they lost (barely) and took 2nd place in a tournament a couple of weeks ago.

Drake has one more league game tonight. Their playoffs are a little different (?!) and so we thought we were automatically in playoffs, but I guess now, have to wait until all league games are done (which will be tonight or tomorrow). His team has done really well, so far they have only lost 3 games and they took 2nd place last weekend at the Beaverton tournament. (I should post pics, but maybe later).

I am really proud of them both, they played great and had good seasons.

Maybe now something "could" be all about me!!!!!!!!

Little Bass, Big Bass!!!!

Today (4th of July) we went fishing at a pond that is full of Blue Gill, Bass, Catfish. I think between all of us, we caught (and released) between 75-100 Blue Gill. There was also a few bass caught. You can see that Gunner caught the smallest and lucky mom caught the biggest. That is the first time Mom has caught a bass. It was a nice fish, but we threw it back to grow bigger.......
