What a cluster......

WOW.....I don't usually use bAd words here,but yesterday,our day of travel was one big cluster fuck..will post details and pics later...important part,we made it (finally)with all our luggage (that was doubtful at one point), currently sitting here on balcony in pj's watching movie on big screen over pool before going to bed.....relaxing day by the pool in the sun,hopefully going snorkeling tomorrow at Isla Mujeres. Side note..my goal is to take a1000 pics this week, consider yourself warned!!!!

Vacation Haircut.....

Ok, there are advantages and disadvantages to your sister being a hairdresser Went in, need a cut and color. Well, I guess she decided I need a new look, and really wanted to cut it short...I am wary, how short?! I just want a trim...Well she finally talks me into basically letting her do what she wants (Although she did tell me she would have done what she wanted anyways!!). She cut off 4 inches in the back!...Here is what it looked like last night


then here is today after working all day (I look tired, I really think I need a vacation!!)....

I am sure I could have been more witty but I really need to get packing. We leave for Portland Friday night and I have not packed a thing, YIKES!

TIME.....

Where does it go? Why sometimes does it fly so fast but yet other times, goes so slow. Why some days are there just not enough hours in the day (week, month, year) >SIGH<.....
There are so many things I like to do, want to do and then of course are the have to/need to do's! I guess I just need to start scheduling things and time for myself. I have a pile of books I want to read, lots of material that is just begging to be made into quilts (ok, ok, quilt tops, since that seems to be as far as I get) and TONS of pictures that need to be scrapbooked or atleast put in albums. I really miss the time spent with family and friends scrapbooking. We didn't always get alot done, but we had a good time and made memories.

I guess I just need to sit back, do what I can, and keep making memories with my kids and hubby. There will be "time" for all those things when I retire........

On that note, it is "time" to take a shower, get dressed and go buy groceries.....

One of these days I will actually download some pictures and video from Drake's game at Reser, which they won AND we even got his interception on tape (he caught it, didn't throw it :D) YEAH!!!!

PAID IN FULL!!

Those 3 words are MUSIC to my ears! I can not believe it is actually happening!! We leave December 11th for 7 (hopefully) sunny, fun filled days in Cancun, Mexico!! This trip is something I have been wanting to do for a couple of years. Until this year it was just not possible and feasible. I am SOOOO excited, I want to start packing NOW! but we have 41 days until we fly out (yes I am counting, see the ticker?).

We will be staying at the Beach Palace
and hopefully we have enough time to do everything we want to do and see. We are taking the boys, so it should be a really fun experience for them. We plan on visting the ruins at Chichen Itza, I think we are going to do the swim w/the dolphins, maybe do the jungle zip line and of course I will be have a cabana boy who only cares about making sure I am happy (YUMMY) I feel truly blessed that I can give this opportunity to the kids. We will also be celebrating our 21st wedding anniversay while we are down (21 YEARS?! HOLY COW). SO very excited......

We will be home for christmas, but hopefully we will have plenty of fun memories and lots of pictures.

So, if you are looking for any of the Harrison's starting the 11t of December, we will be the happy family sitting on the beach, getting suntans, drinking mai tais and shaking the sand out of our shorts!!!!! (don't worry, I will post pics when we return!)

AND, it's over.....

Well regular season anyways...

Today was the last regular season football game. Until today we were 6-0, but we had to play the SA Rebels, who were also, 6-0. Needless to say, we end up with a record of 6-1. Yes, we lost today, but it was a good game, the score was 6-16, our boys just did not have their normal zip. (Although we beat Sprague TWICE! this season, at Sprague, and those were their only 2 losses, that is a GOOD thing!)

Drake actually played pretty much the entire game today. He even had a few snaps at quarterback (tried a quarterback sneak, think he got about 3 yards. Just not quite enough of him to do much of that). Here is a pitch though that got about 20-25 yards
As part of Pop Warner the parent's are required to have so many volunteer hours. Well today, Mark and Gunner were on the chain gang. Not sure how Drake felt about that, because then Mark was right there on the field and could yell at Drake (not that he would...HA!)

It was a good season. The boys will have a playoff game next weekend (time and place to be determined). If they win that, they will play a championship game at Reser on the November 6th, of course ALWAYS subject to change.

It is kinda bittersweet to see the season coming to an end, but it was alot fun to watch. Had some sunny games and some raining/pouring down rain games. Drake had some good plays over the season and had a good time. He took snaps as quarterback, he had an interception and he caught a pass that he ran to about the 7 yd line, not too bad for a twig :D

Since we are going on vacation in oohhhh about 53 days (who's counting), I am trying to be good and drop a few poounds, so I am really missing some of my friends (above). ESPECIALLY STARBUCKS.... but I have to keep saying "Nothing Tastes as good as thin feels"........
