Review/Update

Ok, well, the shoes are still white and I was even walking the rain and they stayed white..... and I have to say I really like them so far (only been on one 1 1/2 mile walk). I did not have any problems (during or after) with my shins hurting or my back hurting. I probably could have walked longer except I do have a blister on my right heel, hopefully that is just from being new shoes?! Even once I got home, did not have my normal stiffness in my hips or back I usually get after walking. They did seem to "do" better on an even surface so I am anxious to see how they do on the track. (Angela, Tuesday going at 4:00, hope to see you there!)

So far, so good and happy to have spent the Benjamin!!!!

How quickly you disappear!! (Thankfully I still had my christmas money).

SO, to make a long story short, I finally bought a pair of the new Sketchers Shape UP shoes. I have been looking at them, drooling over them and then walking (no pun intended) past them. I finally broke down and bought a pair.....
Pure white (w/sparklies :D) was not my first choice, but after a couple stores, these were the only pair I could find in my size..

Haven't walked yet (don't want to get them dirty? HEHE) but will be sure to post a review after I have.

All I know is that for that kind of money, I damn well better end up with some kind of a bondonk adonk behind!!!!!!

Just did my 30 minutes of walking, so I must now be good for a glass (bottle) of wine, right?!!!

Gone Fishing???

I thought Mark and Gunner went fishing with Nick, do you see any fish? I don't....
I guess it was Cast and Blast 2010, they did ALOT better on the blast part than the cast part! Those are some big honkers........

Sturgeon Fishing....

On Saturday Mark and Gunner had the chance to go Sturgeon fishing up by Oregon City with Nick. As you can see by the smile, Gunner was having a Great time!This was the first time that Gunner has ever gone. I think Nick was getting a little "perturbed" because Gunner was catching more than him or Mark......But, Nick ended up catching the biggest one of the day and the only keeper, so I guess he was happy. This was the biggest one that Mark caught and it was too small by an inch.....I guess size really does matter :D

Vegas Trip.......

I know it was over a month ago that we were gone, but just have not really had time to post about our trip to Vegas.

Had a great time, we saw Ron White, HILARIOUS, well worth the ticket price!!!!! Saw Jubilee, good show, worth seeing, Saw Nathan Burton, Magician, he was good/funny (tickets were free) and went to Mystere, that was good too. Always wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil show!!

Grand Canyon was good, will need to go back though, take the boys. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and when we landed (we took a plane/bus tour), there were snow plows clearing the runway.That's a comforting site, when you are in a 20 seat airplane! Could only go to 1 of the 2 lookouts, the other lookout was too icy and the buses were sliding, not a good thing at the grand canyon.....It was kinda weird seeing snow at the Grand Canyon, kinda an oxymoron, ya know......

This is the view from our room, not sure how, but we were on the 25th floor, in a Tower/Deluxe room. Trust Me it worked!:D We did have a view of the Volcano, but wouldn't ya know it was broke the week we were there, never did see it spew!!

Had a good time, the weather was great, the drinks were strong, food was good (but not cheap!) and it was really nice to have some down time with no schedule and no deadlines. Would tell ya more, but you know the saying "What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas!"

Next time though, I am holding out for sunny, sandy beachs, with a cabana boy (yes, I still have that dream!)
