Hmmmmm

Well, tonight we had playoffs for the playoffs (that sounds better than saying tie-breaker!) 3 teams ended up tied for 4th place so we had a tie break thingy tonight at Lebanon High School. It was Kansas City play, basically each team had 2 opportunities to try to score from the 25 yard line and at the end of 2 tries, if it was still tied, then they flipped a coin for the winner. Well, we didn't need the coin, but we also are not going to the playoffs. I think that put us in 6th place. OH WELLL!!!!! I also thought we were done, but now we are in Division 2 and play for a bowl game. Looks like we will play on Sunday, not sure where or when and then we will play again the following Sunday. If we win this Sunday, then next Sunday we will play at Reser (THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!)

I could go on about tonight, but I am going to keep my lips zipped. The boys that played, played as well as they could, don't necessisarly agree with the coach, but, hey I am just a parent in the stand. Atleast my son got to play..

SOOO, I will post results and if they play at Reser the time, I think the kids will think that is cool.

Also looks like we will have about 2 or 3 weeks until basketball practices start so we can have a little reprieve! YEAH!!!

and the Giants Win....

Drake won his last regular season game today, 25-13. What a beautiful day for football!! It was a great game to watch. Drake had some highlights (and some not so highlights). As quarterback, he threw only the 2nd pass of his whole career and the receiver caught it and then ran for a touchdown WAHOOO, but, the next time he went out on offense he ended up throwing an interception OUCH!!

Then he was on kick return, 1st time ever, got the ball had a nice run for about 20 yards and then fumbled, OUCH!! Then a few plays later, he was on defense and intercepted the ball ran back about 20 plus yard (managaged to hold onto the ball). Do you think I got a picture of any of this NO!!! Then as quarterback, he did get pancaked pretty good one play, but he also had a QB sneak, that he carried for about 5 yards. Then on defense, he got to their quarterback and hit him as he was throwing, pass incomplete! He had a really good game, I was really proud of him.

Evidently this win created a 3 way tie so waiting to see how it all shakes out and it looks like we might go to the playoffs, not really sure yet. Great Game, sorry no one was there to see it!

AHHHHH....peace and quiet

Boy did I need today. I was all alone ALL day. Mark and Gunner left @ 4:30 A.M. to go deer hunting (here are a couple of pics they took, notice there is no deer, bummer for Gunner).

Drake was a friends house overnight. SOOOO, when I got up, had a cup of joe, built a fire, grabbed the remote and my book, need I say more. Caught up on some shows I had saved, read a little in my book, did some laundry and the dishes UGH, and then I made an apple pie. It sure looks good, I just hope it tastes as good as it looks. (Yes Mom, that is a Longaberger Pie Plate!)



This is the kind of day everyone needs now and then to recharge, regroup and refresh. I am sure there are a million other things I could/should have done, but they can wait. The only thing that would have made it better, was time to quilt or scrapbook. But, can't have everything. Guess I better go check on my meatballs (sweet & sour meatballs w/rice, salad and biscuits for dinner YUMM!!!)

I am so glad it is Friday. This has been the weirdest week. All I can say is, I think people are nuts/crazy/weird and many more adjectives I could think of. I am soo sick of people and their whine a** problems and their drama and everything that goes with it. I won't go into details, but I think I need to take a page from my sista and live in a bubble!!! (or get directions to someones happy place. Mary Jo, how do I get there :D)

I could go on and on about the weird/annoying/drama people, but instead I think I will drink.

One thing I forgot to mention, we may have Drake in black and orange, but what you can't tell or see is, the black sweatshirt he is wearing is an Oregon Duck sweatshirt. He didn't want any of that orange to touch his skin!!!
