Catching Up.....

What a bad blogger I am (I think have said that before HEHE). I have not updated in almost a week and the couple people that read this have reminded me of that :D.

Well, I had been sick, and to be honest barely had the energy to get thru the days at work (that is a whole other post for another day). Here is picture of the boys before the Beaver game we went to. This is only the 2nd time we have been able to get Drake in Beaver colors. It was a good game to watch, they blew away Washington State. The boys had fun, and that is all that matters, right?!



Drake had a football on Saturday, we lost, should have won. I believe that lost bumped us from the playoffs, but I am being told we should have a bowl game. Not sure, but if we do, there is a possibility it will be played at Reser Stadium. That would be fun. Drake had some good plays, had an awesome tackle, which of course we did not get a picture of. It was at the high school football field, was a nice evening for football. His last regular season game is Sunday @ 2:00 P.M. at LBCC (hopefully won't change) (This was the score at halftime)



Then we had baseball on Sunday, the last game of fall ball YEAH!!!!! We won 12-1, and the fall ball team was undeafeted for the season. I am just glad no more Sunday drives to Oregon City!!! I don't know if I was just ready to be done, but I thought the game was kinda boring and long. I don't think it had anything to do with the fact we have had something baseball related since February, yes February and during the months of May and June, every weekend was baseball. To be honest, there were a few good plays and a few good hits, but I can't even remember them. Gunner did have a runner in a pickle and he was tagged out, but that was about it....

Soooo, here is the latest at the Harrison's will try to post more consistently and now it's time to get ready for basketball :D

Hump Day.....

Ahhh, Wednesday, Hump Day, at this point, we are past the dread of Monday and Tuesday and looking forward to Friday, knowing we only have 2 more days to go. Not much to right about, still feeling like crap, wishing my nose would quit running.......Wish I had some really good words of wisdom, but I don't, so Happy Hump Day, stay warm and until next time........

Schedule Update

One thing that always stays the same is change :D

Ok, schedule change for football. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday @ 2:00 P.M.,now it is at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday at Lebanon High School (Free Admission). The weather looks like it will be a good day for football!!!

**Winning Weekend**

First, I was really going to try to be better and update more often, but, ya know things happen. I have a really bad cold and have not felt like doing anything but vegging on the couch. Did I get to do that, of course not!! Too Much going on....

Well, I did veg for most of the morning on Saturday, Drake had practice so I had a couple hours of peace and quiet! Then we had to get ready, we had tickets to the Beavers game. Boy, that was a fun game to watch. The boys were sitting down on the end zone and had a pretty good view. We were sitting in a group of ROWDY drunk people (Mark knew most of them). Spent the whole game standing up. But it was alot of fun to watch. The Beavs won 66-13 (I think the Ducks won too, but I feel asleep shortly after halftime).

Then Sunday dawned bright, clear, sunny and cold (Although I swear about 6:30 A.M. I heard it drizzling). The day started with a football game for Drake at 12:00 in South Salem (they have a really nice field!). The first quarter and 1/2 of the 2nd were scoreless, then they scored and we stopped them from the getting their extra point, YEAH!! Then our team had the ball, Drake's offense was out, and the 2nd play, Drake handed it off and Maddox ran about 70 yards and scored YEAH!! In this league, the kids do not kick for extra points, they have to run it in. I am not sure if it was that drive or the next one, but Drake went out as QB and threw a pass and that was caught for the extra point. It was a VERY proud mommy moment. I wish I had that on film. We went on to win 19-12. The team we played had the same record as us 2-2 and had lost to the same 2 teams as us, so it was kinda sweet to beat them. It was a good game to watch. Next Sunday's game is at Lebanon High School at 2:00 P.M.

Well, we left the football field and headed straight to Oregon City for Baseball game @ 3:00 P.M., we got there about 2:45. Not much time for the kids to warm up and not much time for Drake to shift gears from football to baseball. Drake ended up catching the whole game (5 or 6 innings, dont' remember). It was a pretty good game. Gunner played short stop and had about 4 plays that he fielded the ball and threw the runner out at 1st. He had a really nice hit down the 3rd base line! Was happy to see that. Drake caught a pop up behind home plate and threw a kid out stealing 3rd, and then threw a kid out at 1st on a dropped 3rd strike. I think that was Drake's last baseball game for the the fall (not sure what they are going to do for a catcher. WOuld like to see Gunner try it :D) There are 2 more baseball games, and Gunner will have to hitch a ride with someone. Oh, the score ended up 14-3, we won :D.

Well, I that is my weekend update, 2 more weekends for both football and baseball. Not sure if the boys are going to play basketball. Of course after both seasons are over, what am I going to have to talk about!!! (I will figure something out).

ok, just had to share/vent.....today we started our spanish classes at work. Yes, we have to learn spanish, and we have to learn as much as we can in a 1 hour class, 1 day a week for 6 weeks (well and our practice/homework time in between!)..Ya know, I took 4 years in high school, wish I could remember it, but I am thinking, I really don't think I should have to learn it for my job. I guess on the bright side, we are taking the classes, @ work during work hours, but still.....

SOOO, this is what I learned today: Hola, yo me llama Donna.

Of course, my favorite phrase is: Uno mas Cervaza (don't mind if I do!!!)

Agony of Defeat......

Yes, we lost our game today....BUT, it was a team that was undefeated and at halftime it was 0-6. The score ended up being 0-18, but our boys played really good. The score doesn't show it, but our boys were really good on defense and Drake had some really good hits on defense. Not sure why, but he didn't play much offense. The rain held off mostly until about 1/2 way thru the 4th quarter. Was thinking it was going to be a mud bowl, but Corvallis High School has turf, so there was no mud, maybe next time......

The team is now 2-2, need to win the rest of the games(?) to make it to the playoffs. As of this time, next week's game is at Noon @ South Salem (then baseball @ 3:00 in Oregon City, unless rained out)

Only had football today, the baseball game was rained out (kinda glad) so we were able to get some things done around the house. Didn't get any scrapbooking or quilting done, but got caught up on all my DVR shows. Off to read the newspaper, have a good week.

Ok, I am weird, and I know I will shortly regret this, but man it is kinda nice to see the rain. It makes everything look and smell so clean. I actually hope it pours buckets ALL day tomorrow (Saturday)!! The rain makes me feel domestic and like I want to stay home and cook (not clean!) and scrapbook or just veg on the couch and watch a movie, or all the smutty tv shows I have on DVR (Ya know, like Desperate Housewives, Lipstick Jungle, Dirty Sexy Money, see the theme HAHA).

BUT, the reality is different, I hope this is not the start of the long wintery rainy stuff!! AND the reality is probably grocery shopping, cleaning, running kids, ya know, normal mommy stuff!!!
